Hi,

what should be the default values for

db_cache_size
shared_pool_size


in my spfile, it is

db_cache_size=0
shared_pool_size=4

What is the default value?
What is the value you should set if you don't know what to set?

What is your database version?
If it is "0" then you must use AUTOMATIC SGA configuration.
through setting 'SGA_TARGET' parameter.

Whats the output of :
SQL> show sga
SQL> show parameter SGA_TARGET
SQL> show parameter SGA_MAX_SIZE
SQL> select * from v$sgainfo;
