I created a global database and sid, and went through "sqlplus /nolog" and "connect /as sysdba" It said connected to an idle instance. I apologise if this is a silly question the name I created for my database in global names will this be the login as in

connect username/password_at_nameofmydatabase ?? I don't remember creating a username and password apart from the passwords for sysdba and the other 3 or 4 accounts that came as standard. Where do i find the values for username and password, or even better is there a good simple guide that shows the steps involved. Received on Tue May 18 2004 - 10:33:28 CDT
