Connecting Ingres to Oracle 8i

Is it possible to 'link' an Ingres database into Oracle so that PL/SQL
can be executed against the remote DB. The Oracle in questions is 8i
runing on Linux. It would be intersting to know how well this
functions in practive (robustness, error handling, performance,
security).



Any advice gratefully received.
