  1. I have read some articles which say for learning it is possible to run Oracle9i RAC on a single machine (with single processor). Since Oracle9 RAC requires shared disk between two machines, how it is possible to run it on a single processor? What is the bare minumum hardwrae/software for Oracle9i RAC. I will like to run it on my laptop or desktop PC using Windows NT, XP or 2000. I may also be able to install Linux in dual boot mode.
  2. I have Oracle9i Enterprise Edition CD's for HP UNIX. Is RAC software included in it. I have read in RAC installation manual that Oracle Universal Installaer will detect cluster environment and automatically bring Oracle9i RAC installation menus. My question is whethere Oracle9i RAC is bundled with Orcale9i.
  3. If I have Oracle9i Enterprise Deition license for multiple servers, do I need to pay additional money for Oracle9i RAC license. I have read Oracle licensing manual but I am still not sure.

Thanks a lot,
